Poola esimene etapp algas tagasilöökidega, kuid lõppes eneseusuga. 🤗👇 (ENG below 🇺🇸) Esimene etapp on tehtud ning tegelikult oleme juba teel meie järgmisele etapile! Ja mitte lihtsalt esimene Poola etapp, vaid üldse meie esimene võistlus nii kaugel kodust (kui Soome välja arvata). Ausalt öeldes oli sees paras segu elevusest, ärevusest ja ootusest. Ootasime seda hetke väga. 🤩 Kohale jõudes aga selgus kiiresti, et kerget nädalavahetust ei tule. Tehnilises kontrollis avastati, et Simoni auto originaal kütusepaak ei vasta FIA nõuetele. Olime selle kohta juba enne võistlust küsinud, uurides võimalust kasutada erilahendust, kuid vastust me ei saanud. Kohapeal öeldi esialgu, et sellise paagiga me võistelda ei saa. 🙅‍♂️ See oli hetk, kus mõtlesime, et kogu see pikk teekond lõppebki enne, kui rajale jõuame… Õnneks olid korraldajad väga mõistvad ja tõesti sõitjate poolt. Leidsime lahenduse – saime eriloa sõita selle etapi originaalpaagiga, eeldusel, et järgmiseks etapiks on puudus kõrvaldatud. 🙏 Alles siis saime lõpuks keskenduda sellele, mille pärast me sinna tegelikult läksime – sõitmisele ja kogemuste saamisele. Treeninguid jäi meil kahjuks väga väheks. Esimene treening läks tehnilise kontrolli tõttu täielikult kaduma ning kokku saime enne kvalifikatsiooni vaid mõned ringid. Sellest hoolimata leidis Simon iga ringiga rohkem enesekindlust. 💛 Ja siis tuli kvalifikatsioon. Pinge oli laes. Esimese sõiduga sõitis Simon välja 93,5 punkti, mis tõstis meid mõneks ajaks lausa kvalifikatsiooni liidriks. 🙌 Teises sõidus üritas ta tulemust veel parandada, kuid üks väike eksimus sisenemisel rikkus ülejäänud trajektoori ning punktid jäid madalamaks – 88 punkti. Sellest hoolimata lõpetasime kvalifikatsiooni 5. kohal. 👏 Kui aus olla, siis see tulemus tähendab meile väga palju. Võistelda nii tugevas Poola sarjas ja lõpetada esimese etapiga viiendana on midagi, mille üle oleme siiralt uhked. ☺️ Tandemites õnnestus meil esimene lahing võita ning kindlustada koht TOP16 hulgas. TOP16-s tuli vastu üks Kreeka tugevaimaid driftisõitjaid. Simon tegi väga hea lead’i, isegi parema kui kvalifikatsioonis, kuid jälitussõidus tuli üks eksimus, mille tõttu tekkis autode vahele liiga suur vahe ning meie võistlus lõppes seal. Kas jäi kripeldama? Natuke. Kas oleme pettunud? Kindlasti mitte. Selle nädalavahetusega õppisime tohutult palju. Ja kõige selle juures ei saa mainimata jätta ka ilma… Neli päeva järjest ligi 40-kraadine kuumus. Autos ulatus temperatuur umbes 80-90 kraadini, kuid Simon pidas vapralt vastu ja suutis keerulistes tingimustes teha väga tugevad sõidud. 🫠 See nädalavahetus andis meile enesekindlust juurde ja kinnitas, et oleme õigel teel. It was not only our first round in Poland, but also our first competition this far away from home, Finland excluded. Honestly, we arrived with a real mix of excitement, nerves, and anticipation. We had been looking forward to this moment for a long time. 🤩 However, shortly after arriving, it became clear that this was not going to be an easy weekend. During technical inspection, we found out that the original fuel tank in Simon’s car did not meet FIA requirements. We had already contacted the organisers before the competition to ask whether an exemption could be made, but we never received an answer. At the event, we were initially told that we would not be allowed to compete with the current tank. 🙅‍♂️ For a moment, we genuinely thought that our long journey might be over before we even made it onto the track… Thankfully, the organisers were very understanding and truly supportive of the drivers. We managed to find a solution and were granted special permission to compete in this round with the original fuel tank, on the condition that the issue would be fixed before the next event. 🙏 Only then could we finally focus on why we had actually travelled there — driving and gaining experience. Unfortunately, we had very little practice time. We missed the entire first practice session because of the technical inspection and only managed to complete a few laps before qualifying. Despite that, Simon became more confident with every lap. 💛 And then came qualifying. The pressure was high. On his first run, Simon scored 93.5 points, which briefly put us right at the top of the qualifying standings. 🙌 On the second run, he tried to improve the result even further, but a small mistake on entry affected the rest of the line, leaving him with a lower score of 88 points. Even so, we finished qualifying in 5th place. 👏 Honestly, this result means a lot to us. Competing in such a strong Polish championship and finishing fifth in our very first round is something we are genuinely proud of. ☺️ In the tandem battles, we managed to win our first battle and secure a place in the TOP 16. In the TOP 16, we faced one of Greece’s strongest drift drivers. Simon delivered a very strong lead run, even better than his qualifying run, but made a mistake during the chase, creating too large a gap between the cars. Unfortunately, that was where our competition ended. Does it still sting a little? Yes. Are we disappointed? Definitely not. We learned an incredible amount over the course of the weekend. And we cannot talk about the weekend without mentioning the weather… Four consecutive days of temperatures close to 40°C. Inside the car, temperatures reached approximately 80–90°C, but Simon pushed through and managed to deliver some very strong runs in incredibly difficult conditions. 🫠 This weekend gave us more confidence and confirmed that we are heading in the right direction. ✅ Safety first: A reminder that drivers are only allowed on track wearing long clothing and gloves. Your safety matters to us.

See on midagi UUT! Esmakordselt avame driftimiseks uue ringraja osa, mis on seni olnud driftimast "puutumata". See on tehniline, kiire, põnevate tõusude ja kalletega ning värske väljakutse isegi kõige kogenumatele sõitjatele. Ole kohal, et näha, kuidas see rada sõitjatele peale läheb! 🆕🏁

Are you ready to experience something that can be seen on the Estonian drift scene only once a year? Matsuri 2026 is not just an event – it is a massive drift culture gathering taking place on two different tracks at the same time! 🤯

Why two tracks?

Our goal is to offer you a non-stop spectacle. We are bringing in a record number of carefully selected drivers from across Europe, and to make sure the drift action never stops for even a moment, our plans are as follows:

1️⃣ THE LEGEND: The classic track with the jump

This is the heart of Laitse, known by every fan. Here you will see bold entries, impressive drift trains, and if you pay close attention, you might even witness some airtime. Adrenaline is guaranteed!

2️⃣ A NEW CHALLENGE: LaitseRallyPark’s brand-new kart track circuit

This is something NEW! For the first time, we are opening a new section of the circuit for drifting – a part that has so far been untouched by drift cars. It is technical, fast, full of exciting elevation changes and a fresh challenge even for the most experienced drivers. Be there to see how the drivers take on this track! 🆕🏁

What does this mean for spectators?

✅ Shorter breaks: We are focusing on quick breathers and making sure the day is packed with action and emotions.
✅ More to watch: You can choose your favorite spot or move between the two tracks – there will be action all day long.
✅ Massive drift trains: Over 100 cars means more drift cars on track at the same time than ever before.
